Media Delivery Technologies (UK) Ltd, the developers of the leading mobile live scores application SportMate™ today announced the 150,000th download.
"With the recent launch of the 2010 Special Edition and the data available being increased to more than 175 national and international leagues, competitions and cups, I'm very proud and excited to announce the 150,000th download of SportMate™” said David Barnes, Managing Director of Media Delivery Technologies (UK) Ltd.
“When we first developed SportMate™ it was more for internal techniques testing purposes than a release. It proves that our design philosophy nearly 4 years ago has worked and that users really do follow live results on their mobile, a point recently enforced by Tero Ojanperea, Nokia’s EVP of Services at the recent MEM 2010 Conference in London.*
Now our task is to focus on the 2010 – 2011 Global Edition which has even more user friendly features and the addition of womens´ and youth leagues” he added.
Along with the new works for the next version, the company is shortly to announce the launch of their ‘App-in-App’ technology. “This will be a completely new feature in mobile development and again it shows Mdtec’s ability to be leaders.
Until January of this year, SportMate™ was only available from the company website. With the recent agreements we have put into place with the major networks mean it’s available from their decks. The future for SportMate™ is looking good.” he added.
Final testing is now being undertaken to include Sports Book betting directly from within the application. This allows users to quickly place a bet on any of the games being shown.
Additionally, the iPhone and Android versions are well developed and are expected before the launch of the new seasons.
