SportMate™ 2010 / 2011 Global Edition

Do you need some help?

Getting Started

We have tried to make using SportMate™ 2010 – 2011 Global Edition as easy as possible to use but for those who need a little help, you can find step by step help below. But before you start to use SportMate™ 2010 – 2011 Global Edition we suggest that you go to the menu option My SportMate™ and then About Me and make sure you have configured your mobile to work correctly - especially the Time Zone. If you have the wrong time zone, the game kick off time could be wrong and you may miss the game. Some of the fields may be already completed depending on where you downloaded from. Don't forget, if you're on holiday to change the time zone so your kick off times are always correct.

Colour Coding

SportMate™ 2010 – 2011 Global Edition colour coding uses different colours to show the current state of information:
  • My QuickView This shows that the highlighted field is 'active'. This means that you can click the main navigation button to show more information.
  • 1-0 This is used to show game kick off times - game not started.
  • 3-1 Used to show final scores - game ended. Yellow field acts similar to Red in that you can click to see more information.
  • Sevilla FC Used to show that the highlighted field has more information. Just click to show it.

Common Functions

Throughout SportMate™ 2010 – 2011 Global Edition we use some common functions to either set user preferences or displays. They are accessed from the left function key and are labelled Info or Options. Let's take a look them

1-Info

This is shown on the Main menu page only. There is some legal stuff but the main ones to remember are:
  • Build ID - This shows your unique electronic serial number (ESN). If you have a problem and you contact us, you must always quote this number.
  • Upgrades - This is where we publish user selectable upgrades as time goes on. The choice to upgrade is always yours. If you do upgrade, you will NOT have to download another version; it will automatically be available in your current version.
  • Contact Us - Unlike some of our competitors we don't have a problem telling you how you can contact us.

2-Options

This option appears on several pages throughout SportMate™ 2010 – Global Edition. Each time it appears the options shown can be different. Here are some of the main ones:
  • Team Sheets - This shows the published team sheets if available.
  • Team Line Ups - Shows a graphical presentation of each team line up and shirt numbers.
  • Page Stats - Available immediately after the game has finished and show key stats; Possession %'age, Free kicks, Corners, etc.
  • Page Refresh - Lets you individually set a timer to automatically refresh the page. You can set this from 15 seconds to 15 minutes. As you use your SportMate™ 2010 – Global Edition you will quickly learn to love this feature; especially in My QuickView™.
If you're using a version with our betting functions included (to use this you must be over 18 years and completed our Age Validation process) you will also see:
  • Bet Now - This lets you place a bet on the highlighted game. Various bets are available - depending on the game. You will also have an additional Main Menu option.

My QuickView

If you're like us, you will probably have only a handful of teams which you follow. If so, then this menu option will be the one you use most.

A simple click on this option will show details of the teams which you have selected as 'My Favourites' (in My SportMate™ / My Favourites menu option) who are playing today.

There is no limit (within reason) to the number of teams you can add. If you change your team you can delete it and add another.

Let's take a quick look at the layout:

Country / League Name
Game kick off time
Today's games where one of your favourites is playing

My QuickView™ groups all favourite teams in the same country / league together

Don't forget, that any data field which is GREEN means you can click for more information.

The Options available in this page are:
  • Team Sheet: Starting line up including reserves
  • Team Line Ups: Graphical presentation of starting formation and shirt numbers
  • Refresh Time: User selected time to automatically refresh the page
